Art Masters Program, a fine arts program woven into the school curriculum that brings to life the world's great artists. Students of all grade levels are inspired to become excited about art when they emulate the work of a master artist and learn to create their very own masterpiece.

Computer Lab and Library Volunteers are coordinated by the PTA to assist the support staff with each classroom.

Disaster Preparation facilitates the maintenance of proper supplies needed in the event of an emergency or disaster.

Family Nights, typically held two or three times throughout the year, are funfilled events when the whole family can spend an evening together with other members of our school community.

Fundraisers include Winter and Spring Book Fairs, collection of Box Tops and Labels for Education, Grocery and Department Store Card Programs, Membership Program, Jog-a-thon (our largest fundraiser), year-round recycling of printer cartridges and cell phones, a Spirit Clothing Sale (starting the first day of school). Proceeds from these fundraisers and other funds raised benefit the many student programs, incentives, assemblies, field trips, library, supplies, playground equipment and technology.

Photocopying, run by volunteers to assist administrators, staff, teachers, PTA board and chairs with workroom related activities.

PTA Hospitality/Staff Appreciation, where a committee of volunteers coordinate refreshments for occasional school functions throughout the year.

PTA web site and Newsletter serves as an important communication tool between the PTA Executive Board and the membership, updating the calendar, announcing results of fundraisers and school events.

PTA Membership, only $8 for regular dues, offers the opportunity to support a national network of people who believe in the promotion of parent and public involvement in schools and communities. Membership includes a Parent to Parent directory for facilitating communications within the school community. Additional donations are welcome and recognized through our Investment Membership Levels.

Read Counts is a supported by teachers and administrators which is implemented and run by both teachers and volunteers who are trained to provide special tutoring with students on an individual basis to help improve reading frequency rates and, therefore, reading comprehension.

Red Ribbon Week is part of a nationwide celebration encouraging healthy, drug-free lifestyles. Scheduled for the end of October, the week is packed with activities aimed at reminding all students how to say NO to drugs.

Reflections is a National PTA arts recognition and achievement program for students. The Reflections Program provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme, while increasing community awareness on the importance of the arts in education.

School Pictures are taken of each student during the fall (with a make-up date available) and again in the spring.

Thursday Mail Envelopes is a PTA sponsored crew of volunteers that distribute a weekly envelope filled with information regarding school, non-profits and PTA activities, keeping the lines of communication open between the school and Linda Vista families.

Volunteerism is one of the Hallmarks of Linda Vista, which makes our school so successful. A volunteer survey is sent out on the first day of school to familiarize parents with various ways to get involved and help support their child's education. Sign up sheets are available in your child's classroom during "Back to School" night in September for helping in your child's classroom, library and computer lab, and with Read Naturally. Volunteer Orientation is scheduled in September and will include pictures for volunteer ID badges, tours, and training. Volunteers are asked to sign in at the Volunteer Desk in the school office and wear ID badges or a volunteer sticker while on campus.

Yearbooks are distributed at the end of the school year and serve as a meaningful memento of the students' Bryant Ranch experience. A PTA committee is in charge of creating our yearbook. Chat lines are offered to send special messages to school community members and students.
